Equipment - Massager

The shaitsu massager can help you reduce trigger points and referral from trigger points over time.
It does not replace treatment from a physiotherapist but does help you make gains in between appointments.

The shaver shop change their products from time to time so if you are purchasing, make sure the one you buy has soft sides like this one.

Getting Started

Play with the settings until you can easily turn it on massage without vibrate and add heat if you want to.
The best way to use the massager is lying along a couch.

Abdominal Pain

This is only worth trying when you have minimal or no pain.
Locate your ribs, hips and pubic bone before you start as you should not massage these areas.
Place at least 4 layers of towel between you and the massager.

Place the massager on top of the towels.
If the weight is comfortable then focus on your breathing before turning it on.
Then turn it on to massage and you can add heat.

Neck, Back or Buttock area pain

Lie on your side.
Use the spots your physiotherapist has suggested you use in the order they suggested.
Place at least 4 layers of towel between you and the massager with the massager resting between you and the back rest of the couch.
Start with a few minutes with 3/10 discomfort on each spot and increase the time before you reduce the layers.
